Greenhouses are relatively small structures that are enclosed and provide the necessary conditions for crop growth, allowing products to be cultivated in any season. Although greenhouse farming is not yet a fully detailed profession in Farming Simulator 25, we have still prepared this guide for players.
This guide will help with topics like how to set up a greenhouse, which crops to grow, how to harvest crops, and how to meet the greenhouse’s needs.
How to Set Up a Greenhouse?
In FS25, to set up a greenhouse, you first need land. If you are the landowner, press the “P” key and click on the Construction section under the Other tab.
From here, go to the Factories tab and navigate to the greenhouses section.
Greenhouses made of tarps or glass can be built in 3 different sizes. You can choose the size that fits your budget: small, medium, or large. Additionally, FS25 has added 3 different sizes of mushroom greenhouses where you can grow mushrooms.
To fill the greenhouse with water, you will need a water tanker. You can also set up a water tank to supply water from nearby sources.
For this, open the Containers section from the top tab in the construction menu and place the Water Tank object on your land.
You can fill the water tanker by bringing it close to the water tank trailer and pressing the “R” key. You can also fill it from rivers, streams, lakes, etc.
When you bring the tanker close to the water icon in the greenhouse, you can unload it by pressing the “I” key. You can also change the details of the greenhouse by approaching the settings icon inside and pressing the “R” key or pressing the ESC key and going to the Production Chains section.
You can change the product to be produced in your owned greenhouse here. Additionally, you can determine how the produced product will be evaluated after production.
By clicking on the icons for Hot Pepper, Lettuce, Tomato, Garlic, Fresh Onion, Strawberry, and Chinese Cabbage, or by pressing ENTER or clicking the Activate button at the bottom, you will start growing that product.
The produced product can be evaluated in 3 different ways: It can be sent to another business that needs this product, stored, or sold directly. Here, you can change the Exit Mode or press the SPACE BAR key to select how the produced product will be evaluated.
If you choose to store, the product will be palletized near the greenhouse at regular intervals. Image7.jpg You can load these pallets using front loader vehicles or equipment and sell them to any seller at any time. Products produced in the greenhouse do not spoil.
