Beekeeping in Farming Simulator 25

Beekeeping, which was introduced in Farming Simulator 22, remains a valid side profession in FS25. You can place beehives near fields to increase the harvest of certain crops. Beehives start producing honey in spring when flowers bloom and continue until the leaves fall in autumn. Honey production ceases during winter.

How to Place Beehives on Your Land

To place a beehive on your land, press "P" and navigate to the "Construction" menu under the "Others" tab.

How To Place Beehives

Click on the "Animal Buildings" section (with the cow icon) and go to the "Bees" tab. Select the hive you want to place and click on the desired location.

Setting Up a Honey Jar Collection Point

In the same menu, you should set up a location for honey jars to be stored in pallets. This point doesn’t have to be close to the beehives.

Transporting Produced Honey

Honey jars accumulate as pallets. To move these pallets, you will need a forklift or a front loader with a pallet fork. Using this equipment, the pallets can be loaded onto a truck or trailer and transported to the desired location.

When to Sell Honey

The most profitable month to sell honey is March. As spring begins in March and honey production is halted during December, January, and February, prices peak. After March, prices tend to drop. The lowest price occurs in August.

Which Crops Do Beehives Affect?

Beekeeping is not a standalone profession in the game. Its main purpose is to increase the yield of certain crops. Placing beehives near a field and planting canola, potatoes, or sunflowers will boost the harvest from that field.

Should You Sell Honey Directly or Process It?

You can sell honey directly at selling points or build a Cereal Factory to process it and sell for a higher price. Processing products is always more profitable; however, the cereal factory requires more than just honey to operate at full capacity. If you plan to produce other goods like raisins, corn, rice, long-grain rice, chocolate, and oats, processing the honey makes more sense.
